This 6-night expedition cruise takes you deep into the pristine coastal wilderness of Tasmania’s remote south west. This Wilderness World Heritage-listed area is inaccessible by road and only experienced by a privileged few each year. Expeditions are based from a ‘floating boutique hotel’, the Odalisque III, a brand-new custom-built vessel with just seven cabins. Guests are entertained by an all-star crew, including skipper, host, chef & guide. Our specialist chefs (borrowed from Hobart’s top restaurants) provide top-notch Tasmanian fare, all paired with fine Tasmanian wine. Our hand-picked expert guides (with years of experience in the area) double as personal walking encyclopaedias. Daily shore excursions, tailored to your interests, will see you totally immersed in the wilderness. It’s all about “getting your feet wet” (as skipper & founder Pieter van der Woude regularly says). During your unforgettable time with us, you’ll explore narrow winding waterways lined with Huon pine, hike to mountain-top vantage points where it feels like you can see over the edge of the world, picnic on remote beaches and soak up the serene views from the Odalisque III’s deck as you cruise past sea caves, blowholes and rocky islets. Over this extended period, there’s increased opportunity to unlock wild places accessed only on particular wind or tide.

The carefully curated Southwest Suites on the upper deck exude sophistication, reflecting the moody colours of the south west. These refined staterooms are a little more spacious than their main deck counterparts and have larger private ensuites. Each Southwest Suite features a comfortable queen bed, expansive ocean views and direct access to the open bridge and wheelhouse lounge.
